Our mission is to bless 30-35 Roanoke families struggling with food insecurity with all the ingredients they need for an Easter meal.

2025 Mission Details

Basket of Food

Our families receive a whole basket of food for their Easter meal. Every family receives groceries to help them prepare all of the holiday classics: main dish (their choice of ham, turkey, and/or fresh vegetables), scalloped potatoes, macaroni and cheese, canned peas, fresh baby carrots, apple sauce, dinner rolls, dessert, and more. We also include a Kroger gift card for perishable ingredients and family-favorite recipes, a Bible, a devotional, a resource guide, and our Easter rubber duck.

Family Nominations

For the families we help, we look to the Roanoke community to identify families that may need assistance for Easter. Any family who lives in Roanoke City/County, Vinton, or Salem can be nominated. We don't verify income or have any other qualifications because any one of us could be living comfortably one day and struggling to make ends meet the next day.

There are five main ways to get involved with our Mission this year:

  2. Serve with us to pack baskets and pass out food at our Easter Mission Pack & Pick-Up Day on April 12

  3. Shop our Easter Collection Merch on Bonfire and wear your support

  4. Share us on Facebook and Instagram

  5. Pray for God to bless our Mission

Fundraising Goal

For our Mission Menu, we are intentional with the food we choose and we only give brands we use in our own homes. We estimate that it will cost $70 to feed each family for a total of $2,100 to meet our goal. Because of God's blessing over our Thanksgiving Mission last year, we aren't seeking any additional funding to bless families for Easter.

Join us on Saturday, April 12 for our Easter Mission Pack & Pick-Up Day. Let's come together to pack 36 bags of essential Easter ingredients and share love with families in need. Your participation can make a real difference.

Greeters and Check-In

If you love connecting with others, this role is perfect for you! Welcome our clients with a warm smile as they walk through the door, assist with check-in, guide them through the line, and ensure they leave with everything they need.

Prayer Warriors

One of the most powerful ways to show love is through prayer. If you're a prayer warrior, we invite you to join us in lifting up our families in prayer. Your heartfelt prayers bring comfort and hope to our clients.

Food Distribution Helper

Help us pack bags of food to ensure every family receives the same essential items. Stick around afterward to assist in bringing the food out to cars when our clients arrive for pick-up.

Pack & Pick Up Day
